about us
We are a group of high school students in the Long Island area who are enthusiastic about coding and computer technologies. While we learn coding together, we use our skills to reach out to our local communities and beyond.
Founded by Yuyang Liu, a then high-school sophomore, in summer of 2022, our core mission is to help communities with inspiring coding education for young children and hands-on technology help to other organizations in the community. Tao is a co-president along with Yuyang for theCodingForce.
We spread the fun and provide coding lessons to young students, especially those unprivileged or underserviced students. We help and collaborate with other organizations for their technology needs. We also host different events, such as lectures, hackathons to serve local communities.

Shi-Tao Chang⌗
Yo Tao here, I’m a co-president and teacher at the Coding Force; I’ve been here since the start. I taught the 2022 Winter Python class and the Intro to Python class over the summer of 2023 along with my good friend Justin Zhao. My languages include Python, Java, and C++, but I also do Roblox Lua as well :D. My interests focus on video games (like Roblox and Minecraft), but I’ve also done general computer science including college-level courses on multiple languages, USACO contests, and AP computer science classes in school.
Evan Liu⌗
Evan Liu is an 8th grader who lives on long island. He attends South Woods MS. He mainly enjoys programming in Python and Java. He won the 1st theCodingForce competition ailver award in 2023. Aside from programming, he enjoys reading various books and playing hockey.
James Qu⌗
Hello, my name is James Qu and I am currently a freshman at Syosset High School. I am enrolled in their coding class which teaches the coding languages of Python and Scratch. I have done multiple Scratch projects within the school and know all the functions of Scratch. This course will cover all the functions of Scratch and help the student create their own creative Scratch project. I hope to see you in class!
Connie Huang⌗
Connie Huang is a high school senior on Long Island. Starting from her love for mathematics since elementary school, she has since branched out and spends time further exploring the STEM field. She has taken AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A, and continues to use Java in coding competitions like USACO. As a student herself, she hopes to introduce more people and encourage more interest in computer science.
Edward Chang⌗
Here’s a bit about me. Early on I made multiple Scratch projects and enjoyed various coding games online ;) Then I went through the Python courses multiple times myself. To get serious and form a solid foundation, I am currently working on an online college-level CS course that covers a full spectrum of interesting topics: C, Python, Algorithm, Data structure, Database, Web Design, and Cybersecurity. Reach out to me by email (edwardchang002@gmail.com) if you want to know more!
Kenny Lee⌗
Kenneth is currently a senior at Jericho High School on Long Island. He enjoys competitive programming and taking naps.
